Cree

Also known as Cree people

The Cree are one of the largest Indigenous peoples of Canada, speaking Algonquian languages, with lands stretching from Quebec and the Hudson Bay lowlands to the northern plains. They were key partners of the Hudson's Bay Company in the fur trade, and the Plains Cree joined the Assiniboine in the Iron Confederacy.
