Dinavar
Dinavar was a medieval city in western Iran, north-east of Kermanshah, whose ruins lie near the modern village of the same name. Under the Abbasids it was a provincial centre of the Jibal and the home of scholars such as the polymath Abu Hanifa al-Dinawari. In the 10th and 11th centuries it was held by the Kurdish Hasanwayhid and Annazid dynasties.
