Flensburg

Flensburg is a port city in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, at the head of the Flensburg Fjord close to the Danish border. Part of the Danish realm for centuries, it passed to Prussia in 1864 and remained German after the plebiscite of 1920. In May 1945 it was the seat of the last government of Nazi Germany under Karl Dönitz, which the Allies arrested on 23 May.
