Glomma
The Glomma is the longest river in Norway, about 620 kilometres long. It rises near Røros and flows south through the Østerdalen valley and the farmlands of Romerike and Østfold to the Skagerrak at Fredrikstad. For centuries it carried timber floated down from the inland forests to sawmills on the coast.
