Hebron

Hebron is a city in the southern West Bank, in the Judaean hills about 30 kilometres south of Jerusalem. It is revered by Jews, Christians and Muslims as the burial place of Abraham and the patriarchs at the Cave of the Patriarchs, enclosed by a Herodian wall. According to the Bible, David was first made king of Judah there before moving his capital to Jerusalem. It is now the largest Palestinian city in the West Bank.
