Hubal

Hubal was a god worshipped in pre-Islamic Mecca, whose statue of red stone with a golden hand stood inside the Kaaba. Divination arrows were cast before it to settle disputes and decisions. The Quraysh invoked him in their wars against Muhammad, and the image was destroyed when the Muslims took Mecca in 630.
