Ibn Hud
Ibn Hud, Muhammad ibn Yusuf ibn Hud al-Mutawakkil, claimed descent from the Hudids of Zaragoza and rose against the Almohads in 1228 in the Ricote valley near Murcia. Recognising the Abbasid caliph, he briefly united much of al-Andalus under his rule, but he lost Córdoba to Ferdinand III in 1236 and was murdered in Almería in 1238.
