Kathiawar Agency

Also known as British Kathiawar Agency

The Kathiawar Agency was the British political agency, based at Rajkot, that supervised the more than two hundred princely states and chiefships of the Kathiawar peninsula in Gujarat, from great states such as Junagadh and Bhavnagar to tiny talukas. It settled disputes and tribute owed to Baroda and the British. In 1924 it was absorbed into the Western India States Agency.
