Kuomboka
Kuomboka ('to get out of the water') is the annual ceremony of the Lozi of western Zambia, held near the end of the rainy season when the Zambezi floods the Bulozi plain. The Litunga travels in the royal barge Nalikwanda, paddled by dozens of men to the sound of royal drums, from his floodplain capital at Lealui to his dry-season residence at Limulunga.
