Luca Giordano
Luca Giordano (1634–1705) was a Neapolitan Baroque painter, nicknamed Fa Presto for the speed of his work. Influenced by Ribera and the Venetians, he painted large altarpieces and fresco cycles across Italy, including the ceiling of the Palazzo Medici Riccardi in Florence, and worked for Charles II of Spain from 1692 to 1702, decorating El Escorial. He was the leading painter of Naples in his time.
