Musunuri Nayakas

1336–1368 · 14th century · Also known as Musunuri Nayaks

The Musunuri Nayakas were Telugu chiefs who led the revolt that drove the Delhi Sultanate out of the Kakatiya lands of Andhra and Telangana in the 1330s. Under Prolaya Nayaka and his cousin Kapaya Nayaka they ruled from Warangal, but wars with the Bahmani Sultanate cost them Golconda, and Kapaya Nayaka was killed by the Recherla chiefs around 1368.
