Porto Santo Stefano

Porto Santo Stefano is a port town on the north side of Monte Argentario in southern Tuscany. From 1557 it was one of the fortified harbours of the Spanish State of the Presidi, guarded by a Spanish fortress built in the early 17th century. Today it is the main town of the comune of Monte Argentario, with ferries to the islands of Giglio and Giannutri.
