Rendlesham

Rendlesham is a village in Suffolk, England, in the Deben valley. Bede names it as a royal residence of the East Anglian kings, and excavations since 2008 have revealed a large high-status settlement of the 6th to 8th centuries with a great hall, a few kilometres from the Sutton Hoo burial ground.
