Satake Yoshinobu

1570–1633 · 17th century

Satake Yoshinobu was a Japanese daimyo who headed the Satake clan of Hitachi province, one of the largest domains in eastern Japan. Because he stayed neutral at the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600, Tokugawa Ieyasu moved him in 1602 to Akita in Dewa province with a reduced income, where he founded the Kubota Domain and built Kubota Castle.
