Sierra de las Navajas
The Sierra de las Navajas is a range of hills near Pachuca in the Mexican state of Hidalgo, the main source of the distinctive green obsidian of Mesoamerica. Teotihuacan controlled and worked this obsidian, and green blades and points made from it travelled widely; the Aztecs later exploited the same deposits. The name means "range of the blades".
