Sighnaq
Sighnaq, also written Sygnak, is a ruined medieval city on the middle Syr Darya in southern Kazakhstan. In the fourteenth century it was the capital of the White Horde, and in the fifteenth it was the seat of the Uzbek khan Abu'l-Khayr. It was one of the Syr Darya towns fought over by the early Kazakh khans and the Shaybanids, and later declined and was abandoned.
