Shaybanids
The Shaybanids were an Uzbek dynasty descended from Shiban, a grandson of Genghis Khan, who ruled much of Central Asia in the sixteenth century. Under Muhammad Shaybani Khan they captured Samarkand, Bukhara and Herat between 1500 and 1507. Accounts of the Timurid Empire identify these campaigns as the fatal blow that ended Timurid rule in Central Asia.
