Tébessa
Tébessa, the ancient Theveste, is a city in north-eastern Algeria near the Tunisian border. It was a town of the Musulamii and became the base of the Third Augustan legion in the 1st century CE before the legion moved to Lambaesis. Later a prosperous Roman colony and Christian centre, it keeps a Roman temple, an arch of Caracalla and a large Byzantine fortress.
