Treaty of Ghilajharighat
The Treaty of Ghilajharighat was signed in January 1663 between the Ahom king Jayadhwaj Singha and the Mughal governor of Bengal, Mir Jumla, after the Mughal occupation of the Ahom capital Garhgaon. The Ahoms ceded western territories including Guwahati, agreed to pay a heavy war indemnity and annual tribute, and sent a princess and hostages to the Mughal court. They recovered Guwahati in 1667.
