Uzgen
Uzgen is a town in the Osh Region of Kyrgyzstan, in the eastern Fergana Valley. In the eleventh and twelfth centuries it was a capital and royal burial place of the Kara-Khanid dynasty, and a brick minaret and three richly decorated mausoleums from that period survive. Located on routes between Fergana and Kashgar, it remains a market town known for its rice.
