Person
Voccio
Voccio was a king of Noricum in the mid-1st century BCE, the only Norican ruler known by name from Roman writers. Julius Caesar records that his sister married the Germanic leader Ariovistus, and that in 49 BCE Voccio sent 300 cavalrymen to support Caesar in the civil war against Pompey. His reign shows Noricum as a friendly client state of Rome.
