Vologases VI

3rd century · 3rd century

Vologases VI was a king of the Parthian Empire who reigned from about 208 to 228 CE. He spent most of his reign disputing the throne with his brother Artabanus IV, who controlled much of the empire, while Vologases held Mesopotamia and issued coins at Seleucia. The rivalry weakened the Arsacids as Ardashir I rose in Persis and founded the Sasanian Empire.
