AG Weser

1872–1983 · 19th century

AG Weser was a shipbuilding company in Bremen, established under that name in 1872 and one of Germany's largest yards. It built liners, warships and many U-boats in both world wars, and from 1926 formed the core of the Deschimag group. It closed in 1983, one of the main casualties of the decline of German shipbuilding.
