Agri Decumates
The Agri Decumates were a region of the Roman Empire between the upper Rhine and the upper Danube, roughly the Black Forest and Swabian Jura in present-day south-west Germany. Occupied under the Flavian emperors and enclosed by the Upper Germanic-Raetian Limes, it was given up by Rome around 260 under pressure from the Alemanni, after which the frontier returned to the Rhine, Lake Constance, the Iller and the Danube.
