Ahlamu
The Ahlamu were nomadic groups of Syria and Mesopotamia named in cuneiform sources from the 14th century BCE, including the Amarna letters and Kassite letters from Nippur. Assyrian kings fought them along the Euphrates, and from the time of Tiglath-pileser I they were linked with the Aramaeans as 'Ahlamu-Aramaeans', so the name came to stand for Aramaean nomads.
