Bambuk

Bambuk is a gold-bearing region in West Africa, between the Senegal and Falémé rivers in present-day Senegal and Mali. Its gold fields were a major source of the gold traded across the Sahara. They supplied the wealth of the Ghana Empire and later the Mali Empire, and attracted the interest of the Almoravids.
