Black Volta
The Black Volta, or Mouhoun, is a river of West Africa that rises in western Burkina Faso, forms part of the borders of Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire, and joins the White Volta in Ghana to form the Volta. Trade routes linking the gold and kola forests to the Niger crossed it, and states such as Kong, Buna and Wa grew along its course.
