Clunia
Clunia was a town of the Arevaci and later one of the main Roman cities of the Spanish interior, on a plateau near Peñalba de Castro in the province of Burgos. Pompey took it in 72 BCE at the end of the Sertorian War. Under the empire it was the seat of a judicial district and took the name Clunia Sulpicia after the emperor Galba; its theatre and forum survive.
