Drakensberg
The Drakensberg is the highest mountain range of southern Africa, forming the eastern escarpment of the Great Escarpment along the border of South Africa and Lesotho. It rises to 3,482 metres at Thabana Ntlenyana in Lesotho. The range was a barrier crossed by Voortrekkers and Griqua migrants in the 19th century, and its caves hold thousands of San rock paintings.
