Isle of Skye

The Isle of Skye is the largest island of the Inner Hebrides off the west coast of Scotland, known for the Cuillin mountains. Under Norse rule until 1266, it was later divided between the MacLeods of Dunvegan and the MacDonalds. Flora MacDonald helped Charles Edward Stuart escape there after Culloden in 1746.
