Khwarazmshah

Khwarazmshah ('Shah of Khwarazm') was the title of the rulers of Khwarazm, the oasis region on the lower Amu Darya south of the Aral Sea. It was borne by the Afrighid kings, then by the Ma'munids from 995, by Ghaznavid and Seljuq governors, and finally by the Anushtegin dynasty, whose Khwarazmian Empire was destroyed by the Mongols in 1219–1221.
