Llanmelin

Llanmelin is an Iron Age hillfort near Caerwent in Monmouthshire, south-east Wales, defended by multiple ramparts and ditches. Occupied from around the 4th century BCE until the Roman conquest, it is thought to have been a major centre of the Silures before the Romans moved the population to the new town of Venta Silurum nearby.
