Person
Maxtla
Maxtla was a Tepanec ruler of Azcapotzalco in the Valley of Mexico in the fifteenth century. After seizing power following his father Tezozomoc's death in 1426, he allegedly had the Mexica ruler murdered. The Mexica, Texcoco and Tlacopan formed the Triple Alliance against him, and his defeat marked the foundation of the Aztec Empire.
