Queen of Sheba
The Queen of Sheba is a figure from biblical and Quranic tradition who visited King Solomon. Ethiopian tradition, codified in the Kebra Nagast, holds that she bore Solomon a son, Menelik, founder of a royal line. This claim shaped the ideology of the Aksumite Empire and legitimised the Solomonic dynasty of the Ethiopian Empire from 1270.
