Sana'a
Sana'a is an ancient city in the highlands of Yemen and an important centre of South Arabia. In the sixth century the Aksumites installed a Christian ruler there after their invasion of Himyar. According to the Aksumite Empire profile, a Sasanian expeditionary force later defeated the Aksumite garrison at Sana'a and installed a Persian governor, cutting Aksum off from the Arabian side of the Red Sea.
