Talatal Ghar

The Talatal Ghar is a royal palace of the Ahom kingdom at Rangpur, near Sivasagar in Assam. Begun by Rudra Singha in the early eighteenth century and enlarged by later kings, notably Rajeswar Singha, it is the largest Ahom monument: a multi-storeyed brick building whose upper part is known as the Kareng Ghar, with lower levels used for stores and military quarters.
