Person
Theseus
Theseus was a legendary king of Athens in Greek mythology, son of Aegeus, or of Poseidon, and of Aethra of Troezen. Myths credit him with killing the Minotaur in Crete and with the synoecism, the union of the villages of Attica under Athens. Classical Athenians honoured him as a founder of their state, and Cimon brought his supposed bones home from Skyros.
