Truce of Andrusovo
The Truce of Andrusovo, agreed in January 1667 in a village near Smolensk, ended the Russo-Polish War of 1654–1667. The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth ceded Smolensk and left-bank Ukraine east of the Dnieper to the Tsardom of Russia, which also received Kyiv, nominally for two years, while right-bank Ukraine stayed Polish. The division of Ukraine along the Dnieper was confirmed by the Eternal Peace of 1686.
