Khirbet el-Qom
Khirbet el-Qom is an archaeological site in the hills west of Hebron, in the West Bank, where tombs of the Iron Age were investigated by William Dever in 1967. A burial inscription of the 8th century BCE found there asks blessing by Yahweh and by his Asherah. With the texts from Kuntillet Ajrud, it is key evidence for the religion practised in Judah before the reforms of Hezekiah and Josiah.
