Kublai Khan

Kublai Khan was a grandson of Genghis Khan who became Great Khan of the Mongol Empire and founded the Yuan Dynasty in China. He completed the conquest of the Song Dynasty in 1279 and ruled from Khanbaliq. His disputed succession contributed to the fragmentation of the Mongol Empire, and his expeditions overseas, including against Java, influenced the rise of the Majapahit Empire.
