Peace of Nisibis (299)

299 CE · 3rd century · Part of the Roman–Persian Wars

The Peace of Nisibis was the treaty of 299 CE between Rome and the Sasanian Empire after the Roman victory over King Narseh. Rome gained territories east of the Tigris and control of key frontier cities. Accounts of the Sasanian Empire describe it as humiliating for Persia, and Shapur II later reversed it in the Peace of 363.
