Qara Yuluk Osman
Qara Yuluk Osman was the chief of the Aq Qoyunlu Turkmen confederation around Diyarbakir. In 1398 he killed Kadi Burhan al-Din of Sivas. He sided with Timur, who rewarded him with Diyarbakir, and spent decades fighting the rival Qara Qoyunlu, establishing his tribe as a regional power. He died in battle in 1435.
