Eógan mac Néill
Eógan mac Néill is the traditional ancestor of the Cenél nEógain, one of the sons of Niall of the Nine Hostages in Irish genealogy, said to have died in 465. Tír Eoghain, Eógan's land, now Tyrone, and Inishowen were named after him. The O'Neill and Mac Lochlainn kings of the north traced their descent from him.
