Fall of Acre (1291)
The fall of Acre in 1291 was the capture of the last major Crusader stronghold in the Levant by the Mamluk Sultanate. It effectively ended the Crusader states. Accounts of the Ayyubid Empire present it as the long-term consequence of the military situation Saladin established after his victory at Hattin in 1187.
