Jesus
Jesus of Nazareth was a Jewish preacher from Galilee whose life and teaching are the basis of Christianity. He taught in Galilee and the surrounding regions under Herod Antipas and was crucified at Jerusalem on the orders of the Roman prefect Pontius Pilate, around 30–33 CE. His followers proclaimed his resurrection and spread the new faith across the Roman Empire and beyond.
