Wismar

Wismar is a Baltic port town in northern Germany. Under the Peace of Westphalia in 1648, Sweden received Wismar along with the bishoprics of Bremen and Verden and part of Pomerania. These acquisitions gave Sweden a foothold in Germany and votes in the Imperial Diet.
