Eastern Thrace
Eastern Thrace is the European part of Turkey, between the Maritsa river and the Bosporus, including Istanbul and Edirne. The Treaty of Sèvres assigned most of it to Greece in 1920, but after Greek defeat in Anatolia the Armistice of Mudanya in 1922 and the Treaty of Lausanne of 1923 returned it to Turkey, and its Greek population left in the exchange of populations.
