John of Biclaro was a Hispano-Roman chronicler and bishop of Girona, born at Scallabis (Santarém) in Lusitania. He spent some seventeen years in Constantinople and, after exile under the Arian Visigothic king Leovigild, founded the monastery of Biclaro.
