Demeter
Demeter was the Greek goddess of grain, agriculture and the fertility of the earth, and mother of Persephone. The myth of Persephone's abduction by Hades and Demeter's search for her explained the cycle of the seasons and lay at the heart of the Eleusinian Mysteries, the most famous mystery cult of Greece. Her sanctuaries were found throughout the Greek world, and the Romans identified her with Ceres.
